Leslie Sercombe

Leslie started to make lace in the 1980s. Her passion in all aspects of lacemaking and its history has enriched her life. Traveling to Europe, USA, Canada and Japan to meet like minded people and share knowledge, with the specific aim of preserving lacemaking for future generations.

She enjoys sampling all kinds of lace, especially those that prove to be the harder challenge.

Her latest projects include teaching young children and blind/partially sighted adults to make lace .

Leslie also makes work inspired by lace which she has shown in various art exhibitions.
